	Graham Ward

	English Artist Graham Ward, born in 1955, studied both illustration and painting. He achieved a BA (Hons) in 1980 and MA in 1981. Since 1981 Graham has lived in London where he has pursued a successful career through his art. His work has featured in many solo and mixed exhibitions in the capital and around the UK. His works now feature in collections in UK, USA, Japan and Germany. Graham's work is firmly based within a figurative tradition and each finished panel generally conveys a narative. His images are strong in their design and balance while presenting a sense of mystery and fascination. Originals are worked primarily in tempera and emulsion, many pieces also incorporate gold or bronze leaf invariably making them comparable to icons. Inspiration tends to be rooted in sacred buildings and places, folklore any mythology while more recent shores and coastal waters have yielded skillful works. Grahams quartet of silkscreens reflect the care he gives to his original pieces. Each print is screened by hand and gold leaf applied as the final detail.
